AWOL 4 A Week

Hi-ho. Wifey, Sweetums and I are off to Queensland for a week from tomorrow morning. We'll be holidaying with my family from Sydney, who haven't seen Sweetums since he was a few days old (he turned 10 weeks old yesterday).

I won't be around to approve comments left next week, but I'll be back again with a special Christmas message on or before the 25th.

In the meantime, have a great week. Take care of yourself. Look after each other. Who let the dogs out. Etc.

Just popped in briefly while on hols to check an address online. I'm using the Internet in the local library where we're staying ... and so far we're having a lovely time up here!

Thanks to those of you who've left comments in my absence ... I've put them through and will be back again when we get home on the weekend.

Have a great lead-up to Christmas, everyone!

:)

Sigh.... I think I've been patient enough, how long do weeks usually go for?

Whoa! I'd love to holiday in a library. Good work the Bevis.

gianluca, I believe that "Chrismukkah" is an modern combination of "Christmas" and "Hannukah" which occur in December. The first time I heard the word used was on the television program "The O.C." (but I was flicking between channels - I'm not an avid viewer). The word, according to Wikipedia, is often used by families where some are Jews and some are Christians as the two religious holidays blur into one.

Oh, and if you want to really confuse someone and refer to the celebration of "Kwanza" at the same time, there's this phrase:

Happy Chrismahanukwazakah!

I agree with Adam. All holidays should involve a trip to the library.

A very Merry Christmas to all in the household of Bevis.

Merry Christmas to you, Wifey & Sweetums!

Did you get any muppet stuff this year?

This collection of comments made me laugh!

Thank you, one and all, for your cheery Christmas messages. Same to each of you.

I just have to say that I love public libraries. No holiday is complete without a visit to one. Especially in country towns. Give it a go!

And yes, Colls Bolls, I did manage to give myself (er, I mean, receive from fictional people) a whole lot of Muppet stuff under the tree this year! Full details will follow.
