Melbourne Opening Date Confirmed!

From the "Friends of Krispy Kreme" newsletter ...

"Our friends in Victoria were the first people last week to receive the good news that the date for the first store at Westfield Fountain Gate has been confirmed as Thursday 22 June, 2006.

The doors will open at 6.30am on Thursday, but the heaters will be switched on at 6pm the night before with live music, movies and some classy giveaways to keep you entertained through the night.

Keep an eye on the Krispy Kreme website for the latest exciting updates on what you can expect to see at Victoria's first store opening. We're excited!"

I'm excited too. In fact, I'm even considering being there for the all-night deal. Just more motivation NOT to get a job before July! Woo-hoo!

There's this thing called "Annual Leave" that you accrue when you have a job so you could actually be paid to wait for Krispy Kreme...

Sheriff of Nothing, so will I see you there? I plan to be in attendance myself (at this stage, anyway - not sure what the work situation will be by that point, though ... if any), so look for the bald guy in the brown sneakers next to the pregnant hot babe. Will you be wearing a Sheriff's badge, or cowboy hat, or something like that?

Enny, hehe, you're thinking of the ficticious Fountain Lakes, there, deary.

Riss, yes - but I'm presuming that if I've just gotten a job and worked there for less than a month, asking for a day off so I can attend the opening of a doughnut shop is probably a bit risky, to say the least. Especially with so many more valid 'baby' reasons just around the corner ...

:)
