Birthdays In The Nick O' Time

My Dad and one of my best friends growing up share the same birthday. And it's today.

So I'm sending out a quick birthday cheerio to them both (so I can evermore claim that I didn't actually forget it - despite all the evidence to the contrary).

Happy XXth birthday, Dad.

Happy 30th birthday, Tigger.

from BEVIS.

You're so thoughtful. A whole two lines on your blog. Awesome.

Your dad reads your blog?

That's cool.

Sheriff of Nothing, thanks for the birthday wishes for my Dad, and for the link - very funny stuff!

Aurelius, hehe. Good call. I didn't think that through very well, did I! I should have used astericks instead of Xs. Nicely done. :)

LeighAnn, thank you. I'm sure his 'thank you' note is in the return mail, too. :)

Steph, yeah - that's me. Generous! (Actually, this is the gift that keeps on giving ... because each year from now on, I don't even have to go to this much effort! I'll simply link back to this post and leave it at that. What a champion son and friend I am!)

Chairborne Stranger, cheers. I thought I did a bang-up job. (Note: In case 'bang-up job' doesn't translate well into American - because I'm not sure if that's an Australian kind of phrase or not - it means 'good job'.)

** If anyone else is unclear as to what Chairborne is talking about, see here. And then here (although, as I type this, my comment in that second post is yet to be posted through by Chairborne himself - he has Comment Moderation on, just like I do). **

Elaine, thanks for that; it is very much appreciated, I'm sure. I mean your birthday wishes, not your promise not to sing. I always find drunken pirate sea-shanties a lot of fun to listen to! So have a few drinks and get back to me. (hic!)

Magical_M, um ... no. That might be the little flaw in my plan. Neither does my friend Tigger, now that I think about it. Damn.

*kicks self*

*hobbles away*

You should buy your Dad a Phil Collins CD. What did you get him?
