Migraines

The bane of my existence. I'm home today with one. I get them semi-frequently. They're almost second nature to me. I hate them.

I think it's time all migraine sufferers stood up (shakily), raised one hand to shield the light from their eyes, used the other to grip the bucket they have with them (just in case), took a deep breath and whispered, "What do we want? Aspirin! When do we want it? Always!"

Gotta go back to bed now. Wake me when the jackhammering outside my house has ceased.

... What do you mean, 'there isn't any'?

Hmm. It must all be in my head.

You take asprin for migraines? You can use a computer while putatively suffering from a migraine? If you really suffer from migraines and not just the occasional headache, get something that acts on migraines, like Imigran. Or a shot of morphine.

Actually, I like to stab at my eye with an icepick. I find that works best.

(And no, I don't take aspirin for migraines. I was just trying to use 'universal language' for our overseas friends. I'm sensitive to their ignorance of local products - or anyone else's ignorance of specific migraine medication. I think you were taking me too literally.)

The good news is that my migraine is gone now - and was on the way out earlier when I published this post.

It lasted for about ten hours and I slept through most of it (my body's 'trained' to do that; I've had migraines since puberty and follow in Mum's footsteps in this regard ... she's always had them too).

I got Dad's receding hairline and Mum's migraines. Throw in Grandma's gammy leg and I've already received my whole inheritance early!
