Not a massive milestone by many other bloggers' standards, but still the highest number I've reached so far. My parents even made the trip down from Sydney for the occasion.
I plan to celebrate by going out and letting Mum & Dad buy us some baby toys.
(Muppets, of course.)
Our baby (due early October) may even be allowed to play with them one day.
NO GUARANTEES.

you make me laugh!
Do you think the baby could have his/her own muppet toys?
Ok, that was a silly question wasn't it? The answer, clearly, is no.
ps. congratulations.
Hehe ... thanks.
Wasn't fishing for more 'congrats', though. I promise!
Muppet toys are too rare / expensive / collector's items to 'waste' on children. Why would children get to play with The Muppets?? Crazy talk.
But I take your point. We may have to invest in some non-Muppet toys for the kid at some stage. I image watching Daddy play with toys in front of the kid while s/he is only allowed to watch may be a little cruel. I can see that.
You're going to be like my brother, who collects Marvel figurines (Spiderman is his obsession).
His two kids aren't allowed to go anywhere near them, however he did buy them the junior versions of Spidey as a concession.
I keep telling him they'll remember his lack of sharing when it comes time to choose his nursing home, but he won't listen.
BEVIS - here's a question only you can answer. I've been wondering what's happened to those Christian Television Associated ads which used to be on TV for many years (including such gems as "got three pockets in my overalls", "can't keep a good man down" and the Good Samaritan story done with puppets.) I haven't seen any for years, and want to know why. I think the most logical explanation would be that TV stations were possibly previously legislated to show 'religious' content on TV (as were radio stations), and that's since been removed, thus no more ads. Other plausible explantions would be that the CTA went bust or no longer exist, or perhaps taken over by the late Big Kev.
What's your take Bevis?
Congrats on the milestone, Bevis! Cheers to many more!
Have you heard of the superstition that some cultures have about not buying anything for a baby until it is born?
If you felt that you wanted to subscribe to it then any spoils gifted before birth could be considered yours...
Magical_M, yes. Yes, I'm sure I am. He sounds like a champ. (That was your point, right?)
:)
Spankk, that's a question I'm going to have to come back to when I have more time to address the issue. I'll do so soon. (I have heaps of emails I need to reply to first! Especially since we broke our 'news'. Apologies to anyone reading this who happens to be one of those awaiting a response - I'll get to it ASAP, I promise!)
ChickyBabe, thank you! Don't worry though, I'm not fooling myself into thinking it's anything much; I just like any excuse to drink bourbon!
Riss, no I hadn't, and although I'm not one for superstitions (theatre-related ones are the only exception, and that's not because I believe in them; it's all just part of "The Magical Mystery of Theatre", TM), I can see where you're going with that one and I love it! I will take it on board immediately. Thanks! You're a genius.
