Not sure why Krispy Kreme gets the over the top attention when it opens stores. Sure, the donuts are ok, if a bit sweet for my taste, but a 12 hour radio show???

Best donuts I know of come from a little shop in Goulburn. Yummy fresh hot cinnamon ones (top milkshakes too). Only pity is the shop only seems to open weekdays 9-5 so we miss out more often than not when we drive to Sydney.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I get up before 6:30AM for a doughnut, or even the chance for a years supply of them.

i know you love the doughnuts, but why do you keep on plugging them so comprehensively?

have a good week and don't eat too many of those things.

Living In Canberra, it's because they don't 'advertise' in the traditional sense. But the promotions and contra-deals they strike up with other businesses (like VEGA FM in this example) and the actions of idiots like me help to further their cause. I won't be passing through Goulburn for a while, but the next time I do, I'd like to check out the doughnut shop in question. But yes, we'd probably pass through at the wrong time of day as well.

Javatari, same here. Although with a baby, you should be used to early mornings! I'd have done it for the year's supply of freebies, but the reality is you've actually gotta line up (and stay awake to ensure your spot stays 'yours') for 24-48 hours beforehand.

MelbourneGirl, I assure you there are no such dodgy dealings going on. (I wish!) I only 'plug' them when I receive news in my inbox that excites me (such as a new store opening up in Victoria). I've mentioned before that I'm on the "Friends of Krispy Kreme" email list, so I receive these little tidbits of information in enough time to post about them and share the love / sugar / callories / hate. (Pithy? Moi? Never!)

I'm a guy - why would I ever need to know how to spell "calories"??!

:)

(I'm also very tired. Gimme a break! You act like I've never made a spelling mista-- oh, I haven't. Good point.)

Logan says that there is a constant queue outside the store even now.

Um, and I have thought about writing something about the spelling mistakes but I figure with the output you have at the moment one or two isn't all that bad...

:)
